In the morning of February 24, 2003, I was in the hospital room of the Manila Sanitarium and Hospital (Now the Manila Adventists Medical Center?) in Pasay City. I was confined there for severe stomach pains. It was quiet and lonely that morning so I grabbed a pen and paper to jot this down...
Today is a good day Lord
To praise and to thank You
For the colors that the sunrise makes
For its magnificent yellow rays that embrace the morning
Today is a good day Lord
To love and to serve You
For the hope in life that the birds bring
For its wings that take them way up high
And for their delightful songs of cheer
Today is a good day Lord
To obey You and be like You
For the people I love and love me back
Even for those whom I am learning and trying to understand
Today is a good day Lord
To glorify You and put You on top and the first of all
For You are the Lord, the Master
My Creator and most of all
MY ONE AND TRUEST FRIEND.
