WORD POWER
It turns out that there is a symphony in our family. Various talents like instruments in an orchestra playing on your own, i.e. bass, alto, soprano, etc.; violins, flutes, drums, being conducted by God, to play tunes of serious, sometimes joys; at other times victory... marches of triumph over life's challenges.
Play on my children. Soon, there will be a dirge for us, as Dad and I will go. Expect it, for dust we came, to dust we return.
But as my poem goes... We live life today, tomorrow we belong to eternity.
Lilia Santos-Villa
January 24, 1925 - April 26, 2003
My mother, the late Lilia Santos-Villa, wrote that in a letter to her children. The sentimental person that I am comes from the poet that my mother was.
I believe in the power of words. As the popular saying goes, "The pen is mightier than the sword". So here is my world and my life in words. Here I comment on anything under the sun (MY MOUTHFUL), I share my creative attempts (BITS&PIECES) I share anecdotes in my daily living that have made an impact on me (DEAR DIARY) somehow and finally, I pay tribute to people who have passed on (TRIBUTES). This page is a tribute to my mother.
Thanks for dropping by and I hope to empower you with my words.
