Another extract from my friendster blog written March 9, 2009
I sometimes take the bus from Baclaran to go to work. There, I usually get a good seat in the first few rows as Baclaran is the first station of the trip. One morning I got on the 2nd row and as the bus was filling up with passengers, a woman sat beside me. Moments later, a young, clean-looking, casually-dressed guy got on, passed by our row then the woman beside me tapped him as the guy sat nicely on the opposite row. I didn’t know why she did that and the guy looked at her wondering what was that about and was just stunned and speechless. The woman, obviously trying to be careful with how to tell the guy, pointed at her crotch and looked at his. I couldn’t help but laugh. The guy was with a young lady and she laughed too. The woman followed us laughing as well. Later the guy laughed at himself as well and uttered, “Yung susi ko sa bahay di ko nakalimutan pero zipper ko nakalimutan kong isara!” (I didn’t forget my keys to the house but I forgot to zip my fly!).
For a long time, I’ve always had a car to go around anywhere I needed to. We had to sell my car to pay for our house and I am now sacrificing commuting everyday. I am working on getting a car again but would I have had this wonderful morning laugh if I was driving to work today?
