"Yo!", says Jesus (A Tribute to Francis M)

I was never an avid fan of Francis Magalona.  Sure, he made it really big in the Philippine Music Industry but I would rather listen and watch Gary V. or Side A….

Then came the unfortunate for Mr. Magalona.  The news on his affliction with leukemia made me look further into the man.  I mean, how could a guy so full of life and at the peak of his career be brought down by this disease?

BUT IT DID NOT BRING HIM DOWN.  From the time Francism made news about his illness, I became an avid fan of the kind of person he is.  I saw how he kept on.  I listened to his interviews and it was hard to believe, with the tone of his voice, that he was under a serious health condition.  He continued on making music amidst chemotherapy sessions and his balding head.  He inspired me that with the meager problems I am facing, I should emulate how he fought his battle.

Now that Francis Magalona is in heaven, I wish I could visit to watch his show.  I will be in the audience raving for him as an avid fan. Then I would see Jesus saying, “YO!”
