After the ravage of Ondoy and Sendong in the Philippines in 2009 and 2011 (not mentioning the others in between) I heard somewhere that we should brace ourselves for even stronger storms in 2012.
Oh, a HAPPY NEW YEAR first! Sorry I had to start this post that way. Anyway, I just want to get real. While we have been greeting each other with well-wishes for 2012, we know at the back of our minds that we need to prepare ourselves for greater challenges - climate change, economic uncertainties, political unrest, etc etc etc. What mood does 2012 have with all that laid out before it?
So, I am inviting 2012 to dance. I will dance my way to a healthier body (literally), I will dance my way in running my business, I will dance my way in relating to everyone! The point is, I will make 2012 enjoy his stay here and maybe while he is having fun, he might forget about the stronger storms, he might begin to be generous with the world's resources, he might be able to entertain political crooks enough to be kinder.
We have written our resolutions, we have set our goals. Whether we meet them or not, at least I know I will enjoy my dance with 2012.
2012, shall we dance?

In other words, walk with enough confidence that it looks like dancing.
